A crown coat is a flexible sealer applied over an existing crown to bridge hairline cracks and waterproof it. Replacement is tearing off the failed crown and pouring a new one. We recommend the right one based on the crown's actual condition.
How long does a crown coat last?+
Most quality crown coats last 10-15 years. Cheap acrylic sealers fail in 1-3 years — we don't use those.
How long does a full crown replacement take?+
Typically 1-2 days, depending on weather and access. We can usually do it same-week.
Will I see the work from the ground?+
No — the crown sits at the top of the chimney and isn't visible from below. We send photos showing the finished work.
